Coolashades make a perfect addition to an attractive garden

How can I help protect myself and my family from the sun’s harmful UV rays?

The most important way to reduce the risk of developing skin cancer is to avoid unprotected exposure to the sun and its harmful UV rays. The easiest way to avoid excessive exposure to ultraviolet light is to keep away from sun, wear protection or stay in the shade whenever possible. Wearing long-sleeved clothing of light-weight material, using sunscreen or avoiding sun exposure during the hours between 10:00 and 16:00 in summer are ways to avoid these risks, but wearing long-sleeved clothing may produce more body heat. Sunscreens can be sticky and must be reapplied frequently to be effective and staying indoors throughout the day is not the preferred option when you have a beautiful garden and pool that are waiting for you to use it!

The best way to use the pool and garden and at the same time be protected from the sun is by having a large area of your outdoor space shaded. Parasols, gazebos and traditional awnings do not cover a large enough area to allow you to enjoy the bigger outdoor spaces such as gardens, patios and pool areas. The sun’s rays can bounce from the outside and be reflected on the surface of the covering and land on your skin, offering little protection from the sun’s harmful rays.

Sail shades offer outstanding protection

A new solution to protect you and your family whilst being outside in the garden or patio area is a Coolashade garden sail shade. They have been used for more than 20 years in countries such as Australia and the United States, and we are pleased to announce that Coolashades are now available in Spain and throughout Europe. This innovative product for modern outdoor living offers benefits that traditional shading products cannot.

Shade sails are made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) that will not rip or fray. The materials commonly used for making parasols, awnings and gazebos are metal, vinyl or fiberglass and these materials can create a ‘hothouse’ effect as the sun beats down upon them from above. Coolashade sail shades allow air to circulate through the installation whilst at the same time offering superb protection from harmful UV rays. Coolashade shade sails are able to resist winds up to 100km per hour and they are easy to install and require very little maintenance.

Protection, innovation, quality and great design!

Coolshades are available in various colours and are custom made to measure. These remarkable Coolashades offer:
