Coolashade shade sails are manufactured from high density polyethylene (HDPE) knitted shade cloth that is manufactured solely for tensioned Sun Shade structures. The material is then treated with UV stabilizers to give it a very long life in direct sunlight.

Apart from the strength of the knitted construction, the fabric also allows Coolashades to breathe, which means air can circulate through the fabric to create a substantially cooler environment beneath.

With the heat from the sun above and the cooler temperature underneath, the air is automatically drawn through the material with a natural convection effect.
The advantage of this is when you are underneath the shade you are not having heat radiated from above which is a big problem with Vinyl structures, parasols, metal roofed buildings, gazebos etc.

Because a Coolashade is not a permanent structure, they can be easily removed when necessary. We offer a twice yearly take down/install service to make sure you get the best out of your Coolashade for many years to come.
